Plucky Paws is marching in the Ames Main Street 4th of July Parade this summer, and I want you to join in the fun! Gather around the Pluckymobile at the start of the parade route for pastries and juice, network with other pet parents, and proof a few training skills in a distracting environment. Then join us in walking your dog along the short parade route.
You don’t need to live in Ames to participate, and kids and strollers are more than welcome, too! Quirky dog-themed clothing and/or 4th of July attire is encouraged. Dogs who are calm and confident around other dogs and people in a busy setting will enjoy this event—dogs who are shy, fearful, or reactive should stay home. Acceptable walking equipment at this event includes a 6-foot leash and a head halter, body harness, or regular collar. Water and poop bags are provided. All participating dogs receive a treat from Treats on a Leash and a doggie ice cream to beat the heat! Contact Stephanie ASAP to confirm your participation.
